History of Teaching Venues since 2012

(In alphabetical order for the last 5 years only)

I began teaching in 1982, when I taught my sister, Janice, to make her first Hawaiian quilt. I have been teaching ever since, but you don't want to see the complete list (trust me, it would be very long). So, I am just showing you the guilds and shops I have taught at the past five years (and even that list is plenty long). Use this list to give yourself assurance that I travel wherever I am asked to teach and am frequently invited back, or use this list for references (though some of these shops are now closed).

Comments from Real Students:

"I owe everything I know about applique to you. I appreciate the fine standards that you set for us."

"I want you to know, that seldom, if ever, have I had a workshop in which the subject material was so complete and concentrated AND the presentation of same was so dynamic and interesting. If there were more teachers like you, we hobbyists would really take great strides to excellence. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and talent with us today."

"I just took your 2 Fabric Applique class. THANK THANK THANK YOU!! I am almost finished with my applique. I had only done applique using freezer paper and I love this needleturn way...just wanted to let you know how much you taught me...hope to take another class from you in the future..."

"Thank YOU for coming. I went to Quilt Club today and everyone was talking about the class and how much fun it was. Some told me it was worth it just to learn to do the points. Several of them brought their projects and worked on them today."

"Because of Nancy's instructions I was able to make a queen sized Hawaiian quilt. Everyone that sees it thinks it is fabulous...she inspired me to no end and on my frequent visits to Hawaii the (ladies in the quilt shops) think I do good work. It only happened because of Nancy's inspirations, stories and good instructions."
